The hovering bell arms are a little wacky. It would be nice to have them attached to the ship. They could be mounted to an iron bar attached to underside of the mast's boom.

This is a tough design problem, we wanted to not have them hover, but weren't able to find an elegant solution that worked in all cases. The problem with the boom solution is that the boom actually pivots and moves on some of our ships... which means your bells will move along with it out of reach :(
Mounting them to poles from the ground wouldn't work well either because they block a lot of our field of view in VR (even if they are thin).
Feel free to think of and discuss other solutions here in the comments.
(Moving to Feature Requests board, since the current implementation isn't a bug.)

[FI] David: A truly spectacular why to handle it would be to use voice commands, simply say "raise sails" and the crew react. I know the Rift has a mic built in but not sure about the Vive or WMR. Also I have no idea how hard voice commands are to implement, but it would eliminate the need for floaty bells.
